We can talk about this all Day! Don't be shy.
Some of the more often asked questions and answers are below:
The Museum will charge all participants (those entering at least one model in the contest), $6.00 to enter the Museum..
No. Everyone pays the regular Museum entry fee to get in, but there is no extra fee just to see the show.
$5.00 for the first entry and $2.00 for each model after
The Museum will allow participants who are not part of the set up to enter at 9am. We have to be gone by 5pm. Our goal is to kick off door prize, raffles and award ceremony by 2:00 pm.
No. This show has no association with either organization. Attendance and/or winning at this show will NOT affect model eligibility at other shows. Also, models that have won elsewhere are fully eligible for this event. We do support BOTH groups and are excited to see ALL our modeling friends show up!
We are not a club. We are simply a group of individuals from across Texas who enjoy building military items, and saw a need for a January show. You are free to join us – there is no hierarchy, no dues, no meetings, only an interest in building and/or appreciating military models is needed. We are just an informal group of modeling friends. We encourage and seek your presence and help!
Yes, we are looking for participants to pitch in and give us a hand. Feel free to contact Rick, Brandon or Eric and offer some assistance. We NEED help setting the show up on the FRIDAY before.
This is simply due to the lack of space. We had to draw the line somewhere, and this was a conscious decision. In the future, the show might be at a larger venue, where we would consider adding all sorts of items and categories, but not for this show. Juniors are welcome to enter, but the categories are what they are.
Stay tuned on this.
The Museum does NOT allow food and drinks inside the display area. There are lots of restaurants and other amenities just north, on HWY 6, in College Station.
Yes, the size of the room will limit the tables. Tables are $25 per (plus a raffle kit donation). Tables are limited so let us know if you want one. See VENDOR TAB for mor information.
We will once again do the Swap Meet. You bring a good buildable kit that you do not want and you exchange it for a kit on the Swap Meet table. TheSwap Meet table runs all day and you could exchange back in forth as long as you want. Please, no junk, started kits, missing parts. The intention of the Swap Meet is to enable participants to swap out an unwanted kit for one that they want more.
Of course not, but we are giving away some great plastic kits - new, fresh, unopened. Kits you want and kits you want to win. Support Winterblitz and buy a few tickets. Please.
This is a non-profit show. Any proceeds after costs will be escrowed to help fund next year’s show. None of the organizers, staff, or anyone else are getting paid for this show. The Museum’s entry fee is separate, and not included in our budget. If, for some reason, next year’s show does not happen, all remaining proceeds will then be donated to the Museum.
Please direct all questions specific to the contest to the contacts listed on the contact page.
see the contact emails above. Reach out to Brandon, Rick or Eric. We lile talking about this stuff and setting you straight. Fire away!!!
